How do you transport an adult tricycle?

I am looking at buying an adult tricycle (on of the sit up ones, not a rebent) and am wondering how you transport it with a car that has no hitch. I don't want one of the folding ones, I want like a Schwinn Meridian that has the big wheels. Just wondering how people transport these in their cars?
